RUBIZMO inspires food dynamics in Germany

Looking to inspire Europe with innovative rural business cases, the RUBIZMO project has been presented by the project coordinator Justin Casimir, from RISE Agrifood, at the 13th International European Forum on System Dynamics and Innovation in Food Networks. The event, organised by the University of Bonn, under the coordination of RUBIZMO project partner ProQuantis, took place from the 19th to the 22nd of February in Garmish Partenkirchen, Germany.

It was the opportunity for an international scientific audience, working in different parts of the food value chain, from management and engineering, to policy and marketing, to discuss current trends in the food sectors and identify drivers for sustainable food system dynamics. In addition, the forum was the occasion for participants to discover the latest innovations in the sector, amongst which the RUBIZMO initiative, which is currently collecting hundreds of good practices across Europe to discover and share the key ingredients to rural business success. Further to the general presentation from the project, Professor Gerhard Schiefer the RUBIZMO policy brief highlighting the anticipated futures for modern rural economies. Participants showed a great interest in the best practices to be shared by the project and additional discussions focussed on the upcoming business cases selection.
